TUMMY THURSDAY!!
The Month of March has come to an end.  I have a little less than 12 weeks before the arrival of my baby girl and I totally don’t feel prepared. But, I did get majority of the items on my to-do list completed.  Next, I need to work on April’s Goals!
MARCH GOALS

2.      Complete guest list for baby shower COMPLETE,
3.      Begin working on design for baby nursery – A work in progress
4.      Send invites out for baby shower – A work in progress
5.       Research classes offered at the hospital.   I really want to take a Lamaze class.   To my surprise I didn’t see any Lamaze classes but I am interested in taking a breast feeding class. I will have to keep researching the Lamaze clases.
6.      Buy a couple of maternity pants:  dress pants, skinny jeans, and leggings.  Found some great at Old Navy on maternity jeans!! It feels so good to have comfortable jeans to wear now!! I still need to work on dress pants for work!
7.      Buy some cute flats.  I think it is time for me to let the heels go….so sad!!! Last week I purchased some cute flats from target  but I still miss my high heels!!
8.      Prepare myself mentally for the glucose test on the 30th!   Yesterday I survived my glucose test.  First I had to drink a glucose (sugary) mixture that taste like orange soda. Then I had to wait about an hour for my blood to be taken so they could test my blood sugar levels. I will be contacted with the results in couple days! Praying everything is ok!

7 Months Already????

My girlfriend from church (who is also pregnant and due exactly a month after me) was telling me that she was going to be 6 months this week.

I immediately said "Does that mean I am 7 months already??"

When I got home, I opened up the bible for pregnant women "What to Expect When You're Expecting." Sure enough, Chapter 12 said "The Seventh Month: Approximately 28-31 weeks."  And the first sentence read “Welcome to your third-and final- trimester.”

To be honest this scares the living daily lights out of me! I cannot believe month number 6 flew by that fast, and I am already 28 weeks and two days!! WOW!!!!!!!

A little info about baby girl……..

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

TUMMY THURSDAY
I just got home from a delicious dinner at North Harbor Club Restaurant and Bar with some co-workers. First there was the appetizer Asparagus Fries with Crisp Green Tomatoes.  For those who are wondering what Asparagus Fries are they are lightly breaded asparagus drizzled in soy vinaigrette and honey mustard.  All I have to say is “DE-LISH!!" Next, was the entrĂ©e stuffed chicken, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage.  (YUM YUM YUM)  I cannot describe how full I am right now. It is a different kind of full when you are pregnant. It feels like your stomach is stretched out to capacity like a balloon. I am afraid if I try to eat something else it might pop!

After a meal like this I was in a rush to get home so Xzavier could take the bump*a*licious shot of the day!!  I was so ready for te mini belly photo shoot...LOL

THEME SONG FOR TUMMY THURSDAY:
“I don’t think your ready for this belly
I don’t think your ready for this belly
I don’t think you’re ready for this belly
'Cause my belly’s too bump*a*licious for ya babe"

BumP*a*liciously late

For all of you Tummy Thursday Fan’s so sorry I missed last Thursday bump*a*licious shot!  I didn’t have such a good feel good day.  I was experiencing some pain in my stomach.  I spoke with a nurse at my doctor's ofice and she said I was experiencing round ligament pain.

What is round ligament pain?
Round ligament pain generally refers to a brief, sharp, stabbing pain or a longer-lasting dull ache that pregnant women commonly feel in the lower abdomen or groin, starting in the second trimester.

You may feel round ligament pain as a short jabbing sensation if you suddenly change position, such as when you're getting out of bed or out of a chair or when you cough, roll over in bed, or get out of the bathtub. You may feel it as a dull ache after a particularly active day — when you've been walking a lot or doing some other physical activity.

The round ligaments surround your uterus in your pelvis. As your uterus grows during pregnancy, the ligaments stretch and thicken to accommodate and support it. These changes can occasionally cause pain on one or both sides of your abdomen

Swollen Feet + Ankles,  oh my……

For the last couple of days I have notice that my feet and ankles have been swelling up! It just happened out of the blue. I was walking around the house and my husband says to me “Honey, look at your feet"!  Naturally, I was concerned and contacted my mom and my cousin who is also pregnant!

My cousin was kind enough to send me some tips to reduce the swelling:

1.       Put your feet up whenever possible. At work, it helps to keep a stool or pile of books under your desk. At home, lie on your left side when possible.
2.       Don't cross your legs or ankles while sitting.
3.       Stretch your legs frequently while sitting: Stretch your leg out, heel first, and gently flex your foot to stretch your calf muscles. Rotate your ankles and wiggle your toes.
4.       Take regular breaks from sitting or standing. A short walk every so often will help keep your blood circulating.
5.       Wear comfortable shoes that stretch to accommodate the swelling.
6.       Don't wear socks or stockings that have tight bands around the ankles or calves.
7.       Try waist-high maternity support stockings. Put them on before you get out of bed in the morning so blood doesn't have a chance to pool around your ankles.
8.       Drink plenty of water. Surprisingly, this helps your body retain less water
I really hope my feet don’t get worse because honestly they really are not that cute!  And, I heard I eventually will not be able to fit in my shoes in a while YIKES!!!!!

A Purple Inspired Baby Shower
The last couple days I have been so busy preparing for a baby shower I am planning this Saturday! This is my first time planning/hosting a  baby shower so I am really excited but nervous at the same time.

My inspiration came from the color palette and themed used for the babies’ nursery. The soon-to-be mommy is very dear to my heart. She is the wife of my husband’s cousin. And it has been a joy being pregnant at the same time with her!  Since, she is due a couple of months before me she has been my mirror to what I should be expecting in my next phases of my pregnancy!

Missy, I love you girl and I look forward to raising our little girls together! I can’t wait until Saturday! Below are some butterlies I hand painted! Stay tuned in the next couple of days for pictures of the shower.
